Froggin’ for Spring Bass

Spread the love

Springtime is prime bassin’ time!

fishing topwater frogs in spring

Combining winter-thinned, hungry bass with the internal drive to prepare to reproduce means plenty of fish are ready to strike all kinds of bait!

Once the water warms to the mid to upper 50s, bass are also eager to inhale lures presented on the surface over favorite ambush points…

So not only is springtime primo bass time’; it’s topwater time!

And nothing is more exciting than seeing a big ole bucket-mouth crush a hollow-body frog on top 😉

Take a few moments and see what I mean 😀
