Hydrowave Is Buzzing

Spread the love

Over the last couple of years, there has been a lot of buzz about a new electronic device designed to emit sound waves and stimulate fish into a more positive feeding mode…

Perhaps you’ve heard about it once in awhile… The Hydrowave!

It’s hard not to have heard since 2014 Classic Champ, Randy Howell mentioned it being a factor in helping trigger his last day winning catch!

Often touted by big name bass pros like Kevin VanDam and Mike Iaconelli, the hydrowave is a sound generating device that emits baitfish-like sound waves into the water column. It comprises two different components, the generator located in the angler’s boat and a speaker lowered down into the water (usually fixed to the trolling motor tube).

The device can emit several sound patterns, at different intensities and frequencies allowing anglers to adapt to the fishing conditions during your trip as described by KVD in this video…

One problem many small boat anglers note about the Hydrowave, it’s not really designed for use in small boats, kayaks and canoes…

Or at least it wasn’t until now since the folks at Hydrowave are releasing a hand-held model as shown here…
